Abandoned – “Mom, I Can’t Find My Hat”

One definition of Abandoned is “having been deserted or cast off”.  I crafted a photographic story out of only 3 objects – snow, trees and a hat. I wanted to show the viewer a simplistic back-story of possibly a young girl playing in the snow, who had abandoned her winter hat. A fun, playing-outside-in-the-snow kind of day.

I intentionally over-exposed and de-saturated the image to make the scene a very bright white with a pink-ish tone, an innocent portrayal, potentially a lighter sight of “abandoned”, a winter hat that had been left behind.
