Night Photography / Long Exposure / Motion –

The challenge was to do some long exposure shooting at night, and to incorporate some motion into our images.

I went to Oak Brook Mall and hoped that the water fountain would still be on, and to my surprise, it was!  I thought it would be too cold and I’d have to make a Plan B.  I thought the deep blue twilight sky would look amazing with the golden tones of the Crate n Barrel store; warm and cool tones all together.

The 15 second exposure that I needed for the low light, also gave the water fountain the bonus of a silky smooth look.
