In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “ROY G. BIV.”

Red – Orange – Yellow – Green – Blue – Indigo – Violet

Often when I am not really motivated by a theme, or I know I’m going to run out of time during the week, I try a new technique in post processing instead of shooting new photos.  This week’s colorful rainbow theme gave me an opportunity to try something new.

In Lightroom I opened up a photo from a New York City bus tour in 2014, and taught myself how to change colors in specific spaces in a photo.  I de-saturated most of the other color, leaving a hint of red on the building, and a beautiful blue sky.   I’m not sure how often I would use something like this, but I really loved learning it and applying it.

Thanks for stopping by my photo blog, all comments are appreciated!
