Macro / Write

This weekly challenge asked “what does the word WRITE mean to you?  Go photograph that.”   To me, it’s about reading what others have written.  I like to write, but I LOVE to read what others have written even more, and one of my all-time favorite authors is Sidney Sheldon.

As you can see by the condition of these books, they are well-loved.  I can read these over and over again.  DSC_4529-Edit-Edit

I once read an interview with Mr. Sheldon, who didn’t start writing his best-selling novels until age 50, where he said something like this – (I am paraphrasing).

“Usually when people get to the end of a chapter, they close the book and go to sleep.  I deliberately construct the chapters so when the reader gets to the end of it, he or she has to read one more chapter.  If a reader tells me I’ve kept them up all night, I feel like I have succeeded.”

Can’t stop turning pages – check.

Up all night – check.

Here’s a few of the hard-covers I own.  Timeless crime fiction/thrillers with heavy doses of betrayals and revenge.  Good stuff.
