Broken

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Broken.”

One of the kids and his family is coming over this afternoon for a birthday bbq.  It’s a beautiful spring day here, so instead of slaaaaaaa-ving over a hot stove today, I stopped at the bakery and bought dessert.  Already made.  I’m not sure why I don’t do this more often.  I do like to bake, but now and then having the bakery do it for you is kind of … relaxing!

The only problem with going to the bakery is….you guessed it….leaving the bakery with what you went in for; and ONLY what you went in for.

I went in for the little butter cookies with different color sprinkles, and came out with those, hot dog buns, bread, 4 cream puffs, and a cheese danish.  Now, to be fair, I did split the danish with my husband in the car.  🙂

Anyway, on with the day…here’s my interpretation today for “broken”.  One broken cookie from the bakery.  Have a wonderful weekend.
