“CARIBBEAN FARMER’S MARKET”
As soon as I saw the theme word, I knew that I would wait until the end of the challenge week to create my photograph. Cayman Islands is an annual destination, and even though I’ve never been to one, I thought they must have some farmer’s markets on the island that would be unique and interesting, with local flair. I thought this would be a good time to visit one!
My only vision for my “market”-themed shot was that it was focused solely on the food available. I didn’t have interest in showing the environment this time, but was hoping to capture some of the colors and textures of the vegetables themselves.
For my featured shot, I was definitely thinking of the ol’ color wheel when I found this simple shot…the red/orange/yellow colors are next to each other on the color wheel; and the bright shot of complementary green in the upper third really took this one home for me.
Open shade with nice light. f/8, 1/60, ISO 2200, with my 50mm.
Comments most welcome – and thanks for stopping by my photo blog.
